Membership

Membership in the University Managers Association is open to permanent employees of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNCCH), North Carolina Central University (NCCU) or of The University of North Carolina System General Administration (UNCGA) who hold a managerial position.  Managers may have supervisory responsibility for technical, professional, administrative, or supervisory employees, or may have responsibilities that include such managerial functions as planning, evaluation, coordination or consultation.  Managers are responsible for the performance of their units whether or not they have supervisory responsibilities.

UMA members who have retired from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill or North Carolina Central University are also eligible for ongoing membership at a reduced rate.

UNC-Chapel Hill employees may login with their ONYEN to apply online.

North Carolina Central University applicants and others who do not have an ONYEN should print and complete this membership application (pdf).
